    Hi all,

I was hoping to get some help and advice on a problem that we’ve just ran in to.

We have a Tricity Bendix WDR 1041.

It’s been working fine until a few days ago when we put some clothes in it, turned it on, and it began to fill with water. After about a minute, it just stopped. All the lights went off except for the one above the ‘Start/Pause’ button, which just sat blinking.

I had to manually drain it using the little tube that comes out behind the flap on the front, and then the door unlocked. I cleaned the pump (there wasn’t really anything in it), and tried again on an empty load – it fills up about a couple of centimetres about the drum and then it did exactly the same.

But this time I tried to run the ‘Drain’ cycle, and it worked. The machine drained, and ended the cycle normally. However I then tried an empty load again and it stopped. When I tried the drain cycle this time, it also stopped after a few seconds!

I tried it a few more times and it seems that it the machine is filling with water to about a couple of centimetres into the drum, then stopping. The drain cycle works sometimes, but sometimes it just stops.

Any idea what might be causing this? I can’t seem to find any information about the flashing light above the ‘Start/Pause’ button for this model of machine and Google has turned up next to nothing for similar problems…

    Cheers!

It would be worth firstly looking at the motor brushes to see if they’re worn out 😉

Plug out at all times :zap:
