Mysteriously, as there is cold water available, pressure is terribly good, the valve is open and I can see water going into the dispenser drawer if I open it when if is being filled with water. And this E10 error happens not at the beginning like if I forgot to open a valve or the hose is blocked but in the middle of the process, usually at ‘rinse’ stage. Sometimes it just pauses without me pressed button showing remaining time as opposed to notorious E10 message and when I press this button, continues. I checked the hose, it is in perfect condition.
Also I was thinking that maybe water escapes inside the washer not reaching a possible water sensor but I cannot see any water traces on the floor.
What could be a reason for such behaviour?

It would help if you could give us the pnc (product number) of this Zanussi machine.
The internal valve has three or even four separate solenoids so it can fill perfectly on a wash programme but fail on the rinse or drying cycles.
An electrical test of the fill valve assembly is required, with the mains plug removed of course.

Type: P6858488Is there any video or PDF manual which describes how to get to this valve? Do I understand it right that if resistance of its solenoids is far from zero then it’s faulty?
Also, can a building works and dust around the machine result this fault and therefore can I try to vacuum it somewhere inside?

1. No, but the fill hose is connected directly to the valve. 😉
2. Resistance of each coil should be between 3500? and 4000?.
3. Unlikely in the extreme.

1. Yes, it appeared to be very easy to find it. It looks like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190584666597 although the numbers on it are different: 33690065257 and 124947214. Would it still fit?
2. Resistance of black and white solenoids is both 3.7 k? and the green one is 5.2 k?. Is this a sign of a fault?
Can I somehow make sure that this is exactly valve and nothing else before I order and wait for it?

Those readings do appear about right, valves can fail intermittently though.
Also a valve can be electrically sound but still not open.
The correct part number is 1249472141, you should always fit the correct part which the one you linked to appears to be.

Incidentally, the occasional random E10 error can also be caused by a gunged up sump hose. 😉

Best to take it right off to do that. Do be sure you drain every last drop of water from filter first though….oh!…and un-plug it from the mains. :zap:

Oh dear!…I’m getting the distinct impression you are less than qualified in undertaking repairs to this appliance. We, in the trade do our best to help those ‘suitable qualified’ into undertaking certain basic DIY repairs and on no less than two occasions now within this thread you have asked if their is a YouTube video that covers the two aspects we have so far discussed and in short the answer is NO!
So, and with respect to you,as I have only these few posts with which to assess your abilities, I will refrain from assisting you any further as I wouldn’t wish you harming yourself or your household by acting so irresponsibly.

Martin, I do not think your judgement is correct. I have enough skills to do many things but having more information definitely helps to do exactly what is needed without braking a clip etc.
I changed the valve but symptoms are the same. I laid the washer on the floor, disconnected the sump hose on its widest end and touched and looked inside. It is a bit dirty but no congestion there at all.
Would you mind me asking what is the link between water pressure E10 error and the sump hose which would give E20 error, would not it?

I don’t mind you asking at all, the answer being that the E10 error is associated not only with a filling problem but also a Pressure Switch problem. That’s where the sump hose comes into the frame as it is directly linked to the pressure switch system.
Elaborating yet further, if the sump hose is blocked to the pump then the chances are it with throw up an E20 error. If the pressure chamber attached to the sump hose is blocked or has an air leak then it, albeit very occasionally, will throw up an E10 error.
I hope that helps you further toward a swift conclusion to your problem. 🙂
