Hi all, this may seem a dumb question but since moving house I’ve not used my Hotpoint Aquarius 1200 (WD62) washer dryer because there is no plumbing for it in the garage. With it being Winter now I would like to use it just for drying clothes. So my question is – does the machine need to be plumbed in for this or can I just plug it into the mains and away I go? Any advice would be much appreciated.

It must be plumbed in, it uses an amount of mains water to condense the steam produced during the drying cycle. No water supply no drying action.

And then the water is pumped away so you will need a drain too.

Thanks for the super fast replies. Much appreciated.

Looks like I’ll need to get a condenser then or pay for some plumbing to be put into the garage.

    Thanks again- Great Forum! 🙂
