    Hi all, my first post.

My current 17 year old Whirlpool washer dryer is on its way out so looking at a new one.
It’s just me in the flat so not going to be used 3 times a day or anything like that 🙂
I can’t fit in a seperate washer and dryer.

Have seen a couple on sale at Costco:
Samsung Series 9 QuickDrive™ WD80T954DSH/S1, 8/5kg for £549 Has extended 5 year parts and labour.
    LG Steam™ with AI DD V5 F4V509WSE, 9/6kg for £449 Costco extended 2 warranty
    Both prices include delivery.

I’ve seen a good few posts suggesting that these brands are not great for support or repairs as parts are hard to get but if the Samsung has the 5 year P+L, surely it’ll be fine?

The Costco price does seem to be a good discount compared to other retailers as the Samsung at least is defo an older 2020 model so must be getting rid.
    Curry’s are selling it for £999 😮

Anyway, would one of these be a good purchase?

    Thanks

Sadly service info from LG and Samsung is hard to come by and spares can be sporadic in supply. There are not many washer dryers out there as most suppliers only produce a couple apiece apart from Whirlpool group.

When it comes to washer dryers only Miele come anywhere close to being a good machine.

A good article here is a good place to start.

    Hi Don, many thanks.
    I’ll read the article.
    Can’t afford a Miele unfortunately.
