I have a hotpoint ultima wt960 washer and it will not turn on.
I have checked and changed the fuses but it makes no difference, is there an in line fuse that I can check please?
It worked fine early in the day and was switched off by thye button as usual.

There are no internal fuses I know of.

You need to follow the path of electricity to find where it’s not working so…

      Plug
      Fuse
      Mains filter
      Mains switch
      PCB
      Door lock

Any one of the above could be the issue.

If it is totally dead with no lights on the display but you can get a circuit from the plug top to the mains filter then it is more than likely a main pcb failure.:(

Yes you are right , there are no lights on the display and the power on light does not light up when you press the on switch.I take it the mains filter is the cylindrical item which the main power lead goes into.

If I where a betting man I’d put money on the board if you’ve proved power to and from the filter

I have just put a meter from the plug to the filter and there is a circuit.

Do you mean the display board or the main pcb at the bottom of the machine?

The main, expensive, needs programming board. 😥

A local engineer may be able to get it repaired or fit a refurbished one
