we have a Whirlpool AWM029 integrated washing machine (approx 6-7 years old) that makes a lot of noise when on the spin cycle. I’ve removed the belt and the drum spins OK, I’ve checked the movement on the drum and there is some up and down movement. Is it worth repairing or buying a new one, if can be repaired any idea how much it should cost and is it a possible DIY job?

sorry so many questions, cost is important, so thanks in advance…

Bearing set will around the £30, so no big issue with cost. Doing the the job though…….. As a pro, I’d allow two hours for the job – you’ll need a lot longer.
