ParticipantLooking to purchase a new washing machine as I have had a go at fixing our Indesit and it still isn’t working so time to call it a day
Looking for something 8kg. Spin speed doesnt really matter. Handy if it had a quick wash function but other than that features arent overly important. Basic machine is fine
Not looking to spend a fortune if possible

Hopefully Don may give your more specific information as long as you give him some idea of your budget. As for quick wash and 8kg loads, not needed and a complete waste of time.

Thank you for the link about load size and quick wash. We have been using a 6kg machine since ours has been out of action. We are having to do more loads than we would have with our Indesit so we need at least an 8kg. I understand alot of people will not make use of the full drum but a 6kg is definitely not big enough for our needs and our Indesit was 8kg which was fine
Either of the machines below any good?
Beko EcoSmart ECOWMB81445L – £219 only 1 year warranty
Candy Grand’O Vita GV158T3 – £250 but has a 2 year warrantyScott

Hi
Out of those two I would settle on the Beko. Spares are readily available and are reasonably priced. The quality isn’t bad for the price you pay.
Best deal on the market does not start until this Thursday so keep it quiet 😉 Bosch WAQ283S1 8kg 1400 spin with a two year warranty. We currently retail at £429 but from Thursday there will be a promo starting where you can claim a £100 rebate by way of a prepaid card which can be used wherever you see the Mastercard symbol. Effectively making it £329.00 which IMO is not a deal to be sniffed at.HTH

How does a Gorenje W8543C compare to the Bosch above?
Gorenje W8543C is £300 and has a 5 year parts and labour warranty. We have previously purchased a Gorenje fridge freezer which we are happy with

Hi
Yes I could go with that 😀
We have been Gorenje stockists for many years, service is via agents around the UK and spares are readily available. The five year warranty is a plus just make sure you register the appliance on the Gorenje website.
