Hello. Today morning, I put on some clothes inside the machine and went to get breakfast. When I was in the kitchen, I heard banging sounds about fifteen minutes later, and thought not much of it, thinking that maybe I forgot something heavy in the laundry.

Then when I heard beeps, signaling that the wash is done, I went to the bathroom to find it completely flooded. That’s when I saw that a dime-sized chunk in the rubber seal broke off. Pictured here:

I have no idea how this happened. And I still don’t know what the banging sound was because I checked the laundry and nothing was there. Just my clothes, and not many at that. Barely 2kg.

I did turn on the machine again and other than leaking through that hole, it works normally. No banging or anything.

Instead of buying a whole new seal, can I just patch it somehow? I put several layers of electric tape and that did it. No leaks at all! But that’s obviously not permanent because the electric tape glue will dissolve eventually. I was thinking to fill that hole with sillicon. Then I’ll take some electric tape, spread some super glue, and do this for several layers. Would that work? We never turn the temperature more than 30 degrees.

    Thanks.

you will never be able to trust it unless you replace it

    its either been

something has been trapped in the door seal and you turned the machine on and the item got dragged in splitting the seal

    or

the last was you did when you pulled out the washing it was in a big lump and a button or something caught the seal leaving the hole

    see it loads of times
