I had an issue with my Landlord about a faulty washing machine. There was an incident where I put the machine on and about 4 hours later when I came back, it seemed to stop. I noticed it was leaking and opened the door.
    My questions are:
Is it possible to open a door when the machine is in mid-cycle or full of water?
If this occurs, what could the problem be?
Please let me know, as my landlord is trying to blame me for this incident and I believe the machine was faulty.
A couple of weeks later, the water did not drain again and she said it was the pump! Is this a related problem?
I appreciate any help or opinions on the matter I can get.

it is possible to open the door on this machine when it has water in it.
if it does not empty the water away it could be a blocked filter or faulty pump.
