Hi all, I suggested to a good customer I visited today that she post her request to the UK Whitegoods forum as I had difficulty in helping her with her problem.
She is registered blind and her Hotpoint WD now requires a new module plus door lock. In all she decided not to spend out any more money on it as its been a typical Indesit / Hotpoint.
At this point have a read of her post…

This seems to be a problem facing the visually impaired and as she says most machines have digital displays.
I can’t think of one off hand that meets her criteria. Bosh did do a machine without the digital display but the load capacity wasn’t very large and it was not a washer dryer.
If any of you have a suggestion I’m sure she would be most grateful. She’s a nice lady, not that old with a young family.

Many years ago, Hoover offered a braille conversion to their machines, in conjunction with the RNIB, not sure whether they still do this, or even if its possible on a digital/electronic machine, might be worth asking though.
