I’ve got a Beko washer dryer and it makes a grinding sound when I switch it on.

Thing is, it seems to happen before the drum spins, and it doesn’t seem to happen on every setting I use.

I’ve had a chat with a couple of washing machine service people and both have said that if it’s the bearings it’s better to just get a new machine.

Does this sound like it’s worth getting looked at at least?

    Thanks for any help!

If you turn the drum by hand is it noisy or feel rough?

Check to see that you haven’t got a coun blocked in the pump impeller you can do this by removing the filter and shining a touch in where you have removed the filter make sure that the power is off before hand and you have towels to hand
