    Hi
With unit un-plugged, I would be checking those carbon brushes 😉
This is easier said than done on this motor though 😕 The motor will have to be taken apart 😯 to gain access to the brush assembly.
Original brushes module is 496876 but depending how nifty you are with a soldering iron you could use BS12102 which is the cheaper but more trickier solution. Both are available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk
If you feel this is more of a task than you need then feel free to find a qualified engineer in your area from the link below 🙂

hi greg well pulling apart isnt a prob its the putting together really haha, out of 5 for most difficulty how hard you reckon it is to do the above im feeling adventurous as not sure if an engineer will be to costly?

    thanx greg

    Re: washing machine not spinning

Hard to say. Module may have been damaged with original fault, or motor damaged by original fault. 😕

    Re: washing machine not spinning

Its in the base near motor but at approx £175 + and the motor approx £158 + the usual you better be sure which are at fault 😯
