Washing machine skips hot wash: EWD12141

Complaint is that the programme switch skips through B (90) and C 60 degree wash straight into D the 40 degree wash.

Machine works normally apart from this.

2 possibles : the indicator dial broken or the holding solenoid in the timer is stuffed?

Have you checked to see what it actually heats to when set to B and C as have an idea that this is actually the way the timer functions on these machines.
Program starts by pumping out then advances to fill then onto heat

I agree with jag-12. Get them to do the B wash and periodically check the glass.

Yes that s the problem…

if you choose B it does the test pump and then the programmer switch steps forward until it stops at D

It the works normally after that completing D

That’s what jag-12 and I were saying. The temperature of the glass is the proof and the manual. Also, no martin it won’t stay on B it never did.

These machines are double glazed so the only way is to measure temp of waste water or maybe an infra red thermometer might give a reading
