Washing Machine stuck in wash cycle. Please help !

Hi,
We have a Bosch Classixx 6 1400 Express washing machine.

When I do a hot wash the machine gets stuck in the wash cycle with 1min remaining on the display.
The water never seems to get hot during the cycle, ( the door stays cool).

If I switch to the cold wash, all is OK, the problem does not appear.

The resistance of heating element is 25 ohms, so the element appears fine.

The thermostat that fits into the element has a resistance of about 6000 ohms, but I don’t know if this means it ok or faulty.

Can anyone tell me if the thermostat is faulty, or what else could be the problem.

I’ve spent hours on the internet looking for a solution but like the machine I’ve got stuck.

Hi Steve,

Bosch (Brand) Classixx (Range by price) 6 (Load size kg) 1400 (1400rpm spin).

So far as identifying the machine goes, that’s not a lot of help to us. It’s a bit like saying you have a diesel Mondeo or something, maybe a 1.6 or 1.8, perhaps. 😉

Just so you know, most times what they print on the front of machines or often on the handbook is about as much use and relevance as a chocolate fireguard in terms os usefulness for spares or tech help.

But in general, the answer will lie here for most BSH Group machines:

Perhaps I should have given the model number (WAE28363GB).
Thanks for the links, I had not thought about an earth leakage problem.

99 times out of 100 with these machines and this fault it’ll be the wash element.

Or it may need the heater relay re soldering on the PCB
