Lets hope this doesn’t catch on over here!.

Imagine the call out, “Hi mate, can you come to fix my LG washer in the van, I’m just driving around the motorway going to meet some hobos at the food bank, can you meet me there?”

What a brilliant idea – helping these poor folk recover some dignity. And more work for independent repairers too!

The only thing that struck me is where does the waste water go?

don’t know Athens plumbing but surface water drains here are not built to cope with dirty water

    apart from that great idea

My wife works at the local food bank, I don’t recall anyone complains of broken washer or the lack of it. It’s far much cheaper to get clothes from charity shops than running a mobile washer.

I had considered on a trailer that would enable to loan a washer on an emergency basis while their washer is being dealt with. Great concept but fraught with lots of complexities. My line of thoughts are window cleaners carry a ton of water in the back and see if some sort of joint venture to make it work. There’s no demand for such thing at the moment. Maybe for campsites/festivals might work?
