I have a 30-year old De Dietrich dishwasher (model: 4155A).

Apart from 1 and 2 below, it is running well.

    1. Around a year or so ago, I noticed that water was remaining at the bottom of the machine after the cycle had finished – but otherwise this didn’t seem to cause any problems to the smooth running of the dishwasher.

    2. In the last couple of weeks, water has been escaping from the machine during a cycle and running onto the kitchen floor.

I don’t know whether the leak is due to the water pooling in 1 (as I say, this pooling has been going on for quite some time without any leak) and/or whether I might need a new seal somewhere.

Your advice and help would be appreciated

when it starts to wash open the door and look at water height. if the bottom bar is starting to submerge you know its way to full

check bars for blocked jets also check for residue under the bottom seal
