Can anybody help me with this problem?
I have a Bosch dishwasher model no. SMS4472GB it is roughly 5 years old and I have never had any problems with it until now.
The water filling tank is situated on the left hand side of the dishwasher, when the machine does its filling process the water fills the tank and some of the water should flow through a pipe which goes back to to inlet pump however this is not so and instead it comes out of the breather hole and all over the floor – Bugger!! Its amazing how much water can come out of a small hole when forced through! So does this mean that the inlet pump is not working as it should? HEELLLPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!
no…it means there is a food residue blockage between the metering tank and the sump. This is quite common and easily rectified by removing the offending hose and cleaning it!
If you are going to have a go yourself then don’t forget to unplug before you open your tool box :zap:
cheers Clive, my hubby is away on a rally test till tomorrow now will get him to give it a go when he gets back and fingers crossed thats it! appreciae your reply thanks a lot!
