Water leaking from Hotpoint WF840 soap drawer when filling

Getting a steady drip from the bottom/front of the soap drawer *only when filling* but I can’t work out where it’s coming from exactly.
Here’s what I’ve done:
1. Raised the machine at the front
2. Turned the incoming water flow right down to almost nothing
3. Dismantled and cleaned the soap drawer and housing
4. Taken inlet pipe off (connects soap drawer to tub/drum housing), checked for blockages and cleaned it for good measure

I don’t understand how the water is escaping – any suggestions?
‘Buy a new machine’ isn’t an acceptable answer 😉

Replace the dispenser housing? (Not the drawer)

Hello Martin,
I’ve got the housing out and I’m looking at it now and as you might expect, it’s really no different from the day I bought it. They don’t really get much wear and tear do they? I’m not sure what part of it could perish or stop working..?

Well, I removed the soap tray, took the top off and left it to soak in limescale remover overnight, thinking the jets might be blocked and that might be causing water to spray out at sideways angles and escaping out the sides, but no muck or scale really came out of it. I think it was worth a try though.
In the end it was just a combination of raising the front of the machine (more than I thought I would have to) and reducing the flow of water coming in 😐
