Weird one, selector motors round by itself till it reaches rinse and completes the function,any ideas cheers

it is supposed to do that if you move the control knob in the middle of a cycle. it will rotate 360 degrees back to where it started. You have to turn the knob to one of the three black dots to reset the timer. The selector switch could be faulty if you cannot reset the cycle.

It seems to be entirely random now the door light flashes constantly without any set pattern and does nothing else any ideas I see there are quite a few with the same issue but no definative resolution
