wd420 hpt

got a hpt wd420 there was a code which meant the stat on the dryer unit had gone, so changed that, but when i put it on a wash the dryer elements heat up and so blow that stat, anyone know why the dryer element would be coming on,no earth faults?

Have you got a wiring diagram, I can probably fish one out for you if you think it might help.

does it have a 4 way valve and a mesh filter on the back of the heater box?

i had this before and i had got 2 connectors round the wrong way when refitting new board 😳 . instead of heater on it put dryer heater on while on wash.

if you look on the pcb, the wash heater connections fit with the pressure switch

swaped them wires round think they would make them different colours, jnoted wires down when i changed pcb did not see they where same colour will have to watch for that next time, thanks for help
