WD420 – Simply won’t turn on!

Hi there,

We fixed a problem with the pressure valve a few weeks ago on our WD420.

When this problem arose the washing machine wouldn’t turn on twice – but then we got power and we had the reduce crease flashing light issue.

Anyway, that got fixed – has been working fine for 2 – 3 weeks now all of a sudden, it just won’t turn on!

I will test it in other plugs and swap fuses etc…but I wondered if this is a known problem to anyone?

Any help would be great.

I have just tried different plug socket – no luck

have also just swapped the fuses round – no luck…

Switch falling off the pcb in the facia causes this……… Much hilarity to be had in firstly finding a tiny switch and secondly trying to solder it back on.

Power off, first. of course.

Super thanks…any advice/info on getting the fascia off and where on the PCB (Primary circuit Board???) I should be looking? Colour of switch etc?

Couple of screws on top of the console panel and some round the soap box retain it. The switch should be on the pcb directly behind the button. If it’s not, its 5mm square with a red or green button on it.
