going back for the third time on this machine to re-set Test indication, the owner swears it’s not her fault, is there a possibility there could be a fault on the module that would cause the machine to go into test mode?
I’ve never seen it. I have heard of the odd module on which tESt cannot be cleared, has anything been split on the buttons causing them to stick together?
I had an old dear last week that got the machine into tESt only two days after I cleared it. :rolls:
Thanks Jim, have just come back from re-setting again, out of curiosity how much do you charge ?, I’ve been charging £35 but so far thats cost my customer £105.

Ouch, I would be inclined to make sure she had written instructions on how to clear tESt herself. It really is damned silly not to inlcude this in the user instruction book given how easy it is to accidentally lock out the controls.
There’s another thread somewhere on the same theme.
I am convinced it is due to RFI. I have a customer that lives in the middle of the woods, miles from the substation. His supply voltage is all over the place. His machine kept going into test mode every few weeks.
He has now invested in a surge protector socket (like you use for the PC) and I have not been back for several months…
