okays, i know the general assumption is that its likely to be the board, but never know, might be something else, as the pcb is spotless, no corrosion, oxidisation or burn outs, or electrical burning smells either, so it can only be corrupted if so.
situation is its worked fine since cust bought it almost 2 years ago dryer element went pop about 6 weeks ago and was tripping out when door was shut. replaced dryer element and all been fine, however this time a wash was on, it spun finished and cust took everything except this towel out. and then set it to dry. it dryed about long enough so cust selected cancel option and door wouldnt release.
anyway, first port of call – replaced interlock, old one had the dodgy bitron version so only had the test rold white one, put that on and no release still.
next port of call was checking sump, pswitch and the plastic tube chamber too. sump was full of coins and cellophane packaging bits, so cleared that. replaced and tested again, still no door release.
pswitch makes usual click click if you blow in and registers ok on multimeter too, but i would have expected an error code or H20 if that was the case,
cant think anything else really but its friday and ive had a mare of a week, and dead in the brain

hmm wierd, after exhausting all options, put a s/h interlock i knew worked off the loan wf, and blew down cold hose feed to dryer heater box, got a muffled noise before it cleared. not sure which worked, gonna get a fresh interlock ordered in on mon for it tho, in case its common to get a duff fresh out the *edit* bag rold???
