ParticipantHi,
My Hotpoint WM73a is broken the start button stopped working.
So i took the front off and had a go at taking the button apart, in doing so i damaged the felexible circuit which the button is part off. I dont think i could have fixed the button anyway as it was very worn.So i need a replacement flexible circuit, the whole bit behine the front console, but i cant find one for sale anywhere.
Can anyone supply one or point me to someone who can? Thanks

The flexible circuit has been obsolete for at least two years now. 😥

Correction, it was declared obsolete a while back but I have just checked and it apears to have been re instated.
Part number is C00200778. Don’t google it then order from Apart4U, seriously overpriced parts from them. 😥
Send an e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk to see if they can help.

Strange, ❓
I did have one of these in stock three or four years ago. It became obsolete a few years back and I eventually sent it to another UKWG’s trade member for a small and very reasonable consideration. 🙂
I did check on the latest Indesit Company parts software and it is now listed as available, that could just be an error of course. 😥
I will dig a little deeper and post back.

Sadly the official Hotpoint spares website and one or two trade wholesalers do list it as NLA.
It is supposed to be available here Apart4u
You can however ignore all of that nonsense about it being in stock etc, a total pack of lies most of the time. Unless it is a common, fast moving part they will generally wait until they have a big enough order and then obtain it from proper bricks & mortar wholesalers or from the manufacturers who all list it as obsolete. They will also add a serious mark up on top of the RRP for most parts the sell. There was a member of the public on this forum a couple of weeks ago that paid them over £39 plus delivery for a part listed at £9.00 RRP. :rolls:
The original Hotpoint part number is 1602851 but a quick Google for that is fruitless.
Apart from fleabay etc I fear you are, to put it politely “stuffed” 😥
