WEEE Paragraph 49 exemption certificate

We sell recon machines and have noticed that lately supply has dried up, due of course to wee regs. in order to purchase raw machines i now need this certificate which, apparently costs £500 +approx 270 per year and will involve an inspection of our premises by the environment agency. How many of you have already done this? What happens if they refuse to issue it? Will i also need a waste transfer license to get the appliances to my premises? a lot of questions i know, i feel like my head will explode!

typical government! says it want to encourage recycling then hammers anyone that does. recos are the first form of recycling.

We have just applied for pata 49.its 495.00 and you must keep proper records.We collect WEEE from small retailers to refurb anything thats hazardous must be on a consignment note and anything else on a waste transfer note.If you require any more info call me on 07989323870.
