    Re: Weeeman

    I don’t know if you’ve discussed this already but…..

How do you guys think is will affect the trade in Jan 2006?

Didn’t something similar happen to refrigaration? I don’t know coz I don’t do refrigaration (or spell it).

Some people reckon it might encourage customers to keep appliances longer, and have more repairs done.

Others say it will make new appliances more expensive, or force manufactuers to build better quality products (yeah rate).

    Discuss please, thank you!

    Re: Weeeman

Finaly got time to go visit Weeman today. Shame i forgot my camera but if anyone is in the area it is worth seeing even if only just to identify some of the stuff used such as the Zanussi FL and Indesit 862, several inner drums, and several of James Dysons cleaners. Computer mice as teeth is a good feature as is the washing machine fill hoses as nerves and veins.
Interestingly underneath is some scatterred fridges and a Bosch dishwasher which may be part of the piece or may just be some dumped WEE.

There is a piccy of its head and shoulders in this weeks ERT magazine.
Spec is imposing too. Seven metres high, human figure built from three tonnes of junk which represents the total amount of electronic waste that an average person in the UK is likely to consume in their lifetime.
I wonder how long it will be before someone has a piccy of it here as their avatar. Penguins, Goats, Cows and now weeman whatever next πŸ™„

Click on the thumbs for a (very) high resolution version of the pics, broadband users only recommended though πŸ˜‰
