Weird Samsung RS21 problem – no fridge lights

Hi, had our RS21 for about 7 years. It had the Samsung mod about 4 years ago (for the noisy fan issue, I think, although we weren’t experiencing it). We’ve just done a load of building work and moved the fridge freezer to a new room.

Now the lights in the fridge won’t come on. The bulbs are fine. The door sensor is fine (I know because the warning beep occurs after it’s been left open a while). I’ve had the covers off an checked the wires and there’s no obvious problems.

I have however noticed that I don’t *think* the fridge fan is working either. There’s slight build up of ice an the fan never seems to spin up (it moves freely by hand). So it’s almost as if the back panel isn’t getting any power. BUT the temp reading works fine on the LCD, and the fridge IS cold.

Any ideas please?

if the lamp is ok and the unit chimes with the door open
check lampholder. make sure its making a good contact with lamp. Have had a few lamps that dont seem to make contact in some lamp holders

check door switch. The door switch is a double. On side is for the door open sensor, the other turns on the lamp
