welcome mat

Might it be an idea to have a ukw welcome mat forum or new member check in forum with a moderator to look after new members

It’s just that we have had an incredible influx of new members since the mail shot and the site is so big now and contains so much info that it can be a bit daunting if not intimidating for a new member.

We need to make them understand that the site was created as much for them as it’s originators. Just like the slogan that Ken is so fond of using “IT’S YOUR INDUSTRY BE PART OF IT” We need to get the message across to these new members that this slogan applies to them as much as any existing member. The more they contribute the more they will get from the site.

The one thing that we dont want is for them to be so bewildered that they just fade away.

Whan I saw the title I wondered who the hell Mat was 😆

I’ve thought about this before Sean but in all honesty, there are so many links to FAQ’s and “hot to’s” already there’s little else we can do.

We also get many emails to admin@ and webmaster@ from the help desk asking those questions and we pretty much resolve most of them.
