My WFF 2001 has developed a fault where it doesn’t always fill properly. By testing various combinations I’ve found that it will fill when set to vhot (60 or 90) but not 30. It only seems to fill from the hot.

I’ve suspected the filters, but they are okay. I thought it might be the cold solenoid but then I found that it will fill from cold when rinsing. And it’s intermittent.

I’m now thinking it must be the timer, but hoping it’s not as I reckon that’ll be expensive.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Sure about that solonoid? Some Bosch have a double one so one half of it could be down. Unplug before removing any panels.

Yes a new Solenoid Valve (Part No: 265772) should solve the problem

Question, when you say that there is a double valve, do you mean that the valve is double cold fill or do you mean it has hot and cold in one unit?

I’m going to try to take it apart tomorrow.

    Thanks for the info. 😀

Double cold valve Pete, the hot one is a single seperate one 😉

Make sure it’s unplugged first please :zap:

We’d like you to come back and tell us what you find 😀

    Hi guys,

It’s exactly as you described. I checked both solenoids with my meter and one of them is open circuit. Now I just need to find a replacement on a Good Friday.

I think I’ll probably swap the hot one around and use it as a cold fill only machine.

    Happy Easter

That will work fine Pete provided you do not use programmes above 60 degrees as that fills first on the hot side. You would have to stick with 40 degree cycles for it to work.

    Re: WFF 2001 Bosch Wassher

    The machine’s working again now.

I had a look at the wiring and realised that that I could wire both solenoids in parallel. So that whichever one is used it would still do the cold fill. So I got my trusty soldering iron out and bridged the connections. I didn’t need to touch the hot fill at all.

    Voilla! it works.

This’ll keep it going until I order a replacement.

I wouldn’t recommend everyone rewiring their machine, but as a trained electrical engineer, I make certain to take the appropriate precautions.

    Thanks to all. 🙂
