Brushes worn out fitted new frame to motor starts off too fast tries 3 times then machine faults. Noted tacho coil is different to pickup on old frame. Refitted old frame with worn brushes works ok. faulty magnet or frame?

Sounds to me as you’ve fitted the wrong end frame TBH?
If the part number of the new end frame you have is either 096805 or 496876 then that’s OK. If not? Then you’re fitting the wrong one.
The tacho pick-up on those is a small chip rather than a coiled ring by the way.
