wft2800gb/13 refuses to spin

washer hangs up on spin just about every time with hardly anything in the drum or with nothing in the drum, pressing start wich normally moves cycle on does nothing have to switch off back on again it locks up completely.

opening door and turning drum then putting on a spin program seems to cure most of the time, the spin program does not work till switched off and drum turned.

looked at brushes on motor they seem fine about 1″ long its just had a new bosch water pump not long had a new door switch not sure what to look at next.

the dryer works fine cleaned out all pipes and filter all good any help would be much appreciated

You may have a bad seg on the commutator or the brush/s may be chaffing on its travel and not making full contact everytime. 😕

Thanks for the reply i am a very much undecided if to pursue repair it now keeps cutting out at random whilst on dry whole display goes out drum stops comes back on sometimes drying time resets back to selected initial time sometimes not.

had for 8yrs had 3 water pumps 2 door switches a heating element on dryer on its second moter had a new brain abot 2 1/2yrs ago, perhaps its time to say enough is enough this latest fault has me stumped
