Hi. I’m looking for some advice. We are geting rid of our oil fired rayburn cooker as it doesn’t do any of its jobs very well – we use it for hot water, heating and cooking….and we are getting a seperate oil boiler.
So we are now free to get a cooker that works! I’m looking for some advice. We are going the LPG route (no mains gas) rather than electric or oil as we feel it is more economic. Is this so? Also we are limited on the amount of 100 or 110cm ranges available that are all LPG. Many are dual fuel. Is there a negative side to having LPG oven? Is electric better oven? HELP!

Also we do have budget considerations but I’ve not been inpressed by the build quality on the rangemaster 110 I’ve seen. Doors lightweight, knobs flimsy etc. I’d welcome anyones feedback! So far we’ve concentrated on looking at Rangemaster (110, Classic and Elan (if going Duel Fuel)), Stoves, Belling…. Also I don’t want stainless steel as I don’t want to be cleaning it every 5 mins!! Looking at black with chrome.

Am hoping to buy through auction sites and I have several of these discount shops looking out for an all LPG for me in black but am lost as to which make offers best quality.

Have seen a Lacanche and must admit it’s my favourite for looks!
