On older machines the last two numbers of serial number are the date code. Therefore date code 92 equates to August 1985.

If the first two numbers of the serial number are in bold type or slightly separate then it will be date code 01 which is Jan 1986.

Sadly there is no chance of the machine she now has lasting a quarter of that time.

Still, it won’t be getting hammered so with luck she will be fine, and as you say it will be much quieter. 8)

Thanks Jim, Jan 1986′ it is then, I shall tell her it’s age when I see her later.
My Mum would rather spend that kind of money at Gala Bingo at her time of life . . . 😆
