ParticipantWhats a well made reliable make of second hand washing machine that you can recomend thats reliable and hard wearing, not too bothered by fancy functions, just want basic but reliable and not liable to bearings failure early on. It can be up to 10+ years old or newer. Im looking to pay up to £90, looking on ebay or similar, what would youi go for and what would you avoid, reliabilty is important
can you recomend a reliable one ?
ive seen an AEG lavamat 61000, are they any good?
what about a Bosch WFB 2005 ?

You asked the question if it was good and I said yes. One than works is the one to go for but if and when it doesn’t work then you will have a problem. £90 on a elderly washing machine is hardly a wise investment but rather a more speculative one.

im more after a list of brands that are well made and dont use cheap bearings, i did some research on the hotpoints and believe they use cheaper/smaller bearings than in the past

Then you needn’t worry yourself unnecessarily over the AEG’s drum bearings as they have little issues overall.
