I’m current torn between Bosch or Neff, I have read that they are owned by the same big owner, are these listed products just re badged or do they have completly differenct manufacturing plants and technology? Which one should I choose and why? The Bosch looks to have a better tchnical spec and a lower proce, why?

The ovens for one are identical. Functional parts wise at least.

Thanks for your reply. So you are saying that the two ovens are essentially the same inside. When I have had a quick look at some basic specification the Bosch oven HBN 13M says
Main Oven 58 Litres
Force Air Covection 0.79
Small Oven 30 Litres
Total Connected Load 4.4kWThe Neff says
Main Oven 45 Litres
Small Oven 30 Litres
Total Connected Load 4.0kWWhat is Total Connected Load and Force Air Covection?
Why do all the Neff ovens sell the ‘Circtherm’ if the Bosch are the same and why is there no mention of it, and the other features Neff list like AquaCleanse?I’m trying to find the exact technical specifications for all of these listed items and am having problems finding on the manufacturers web site. Can you please guide me to where you are supposed to find them?
Could you give me your opinion on which you would choose and why?

The double oven range is in the middle of being replaced. It sounds to me like your comparing an older oven type with it’s replacement.
Most Bosch/Neff/Siemens ovens are the same because they are part of the same group like Vauxhall/Opel/GM cars.Circotherm is sales talk for fan cooking. 😉
Your best bet would be to follow the links on the web sites and request brochures. 🙂

Thanks for the replies. Which of the double ovens (Neff / Bosch) is being updated? I was told that the Bosch is a new model just out, and from the neff web site and brouche, they list the model. So are you saying that Neff model of double oven is being replaced soon, even though it’s in the 2005 brouche?
By the by, which electric double oven / hob / hood would you choose with a £1,000 budget? It needs to fit under a counter.
Thanks once again in advance. 😯

We do a lot of work on under counter double ovens for differrent manufacturers and the customer always says the same things: ovens too small and take ages to heat up. The latter due to low wattage fan elements, open the door and it takes ages to recover temperature. Its handy to have the seperate grill but for serious cooking a normal single multifunction under counter oven is far better or re design and get a full size double oven in the wall or a range freestanding cooker.
What I said earlier about the parts of the oven being identical was done by comparing part part numbers and they were all the same.

Do you know which oven is being updated, as per a previous comment?
