Just browsing through some old topics and came across this one.

I quite understand the unsuitability of table salt for regenerating the softeners in dishwashers. However, what about the salt ‘pellets’ normally designed for the larger, Permutit-type water softeners?

Having had an old water softener removed, I have a couple of large sacks of these, and can’t see any obvious reason why they should not be used in my dishwasher – but then, you may know different! 😯

    Any thoughts?

No idea, but if it doesn’t work it’s an expensive mistake to make. 😉

Perfectly suitable in “pellet” form for your dishwasher as too the more commonly termed ‘salt tablets’. Same product, different name. 😀
