Thing is…
You can’t design for people putting the machines where they shouldn’t be.
You can’t design for the fact that local wildlife could wreck them.
You can’t design for the stupid things people do that they shouldn’t.
You can try to mitigate it I guess, if you even consider the possibility but, even at that, how far do you go and, how far can you go given the budget constraints?

Quite right too! Where there’s blame it’s worth making a claim. 😀
After all, machines should be designed to cope easily with whatever life throws at them even though life in this case may also include rats and slugs. Besides, where in the installation instructions does it insist these creatures be excluded from the area?…….exactly……… :stir:

Funny thing, the instructions for my washer doesn’t say, “don’t wash your dog in it” but one would assume that common sense would prevail. Likewise, by that logic I can dry the dog in the tumble dryer although, I don’t think the dog would be too happy.
If you did that you’d end up with a warranty exclusion list that was virtually endless…. must not be used in outer space or this will void the warranty and so on. At some point you have to call a halt.
Maybe we’re just to assume that everyone is a complete muppet. Or, perhaps just a certain proportion of the population when they show that they are truly a muppet.

They just don’t build them proper any more does they? :snigger:
I wonder why ma bothered to lift the drum out? The thing is, that the insurance company might find an exclusion clause citing that the machine has “been tampered with?” 😉

Trouble is most muppets have no idea there muppets, even when it stares them in the face. 😆
