It is a 2 door fridge (400 ltrs) with a slide out freezer draw (150 ltrs) numbers on the compressor fitted make no sense and Maytag what the earth for one. Would a 1/4hp do for this type of unit like the Zem GL90AA, Aspera NB1118Z & Embraco ECS70HLP ?? compressor fitted is a R134 with cap start. Advice on what to fit would be appricated Geoff March 4, 2009 at 8:00 pm #279235 BobHopeParticipant Re: Which compressor Hi geoff1, a 1/4 hp compressor will work ok but you will have to modify the pipework and wiring and also check the working voltage as some maytags are 110 volt with a dropping transformer.
