Which gas cooker to choose?

I want a 55cm wide freestanding gas cooker with a glass folding lid.

I have read your excellent buying guides, which seem to to say that quality can be compromised in order to reduce the price.

I’ve had a Stoves cooker which is rubbish and does not get to the right temperature, so I don’t want to end up with something similar.

Which manufacturers do you think offer cookers of a decent standard and which manufacturers should I avoid?

Hi Grandma

We saw one of these zanussi cookers yesterday, seems a good well made solid machine and the slope control panel was easier to use rather than bending to adjust. It could be worth a look to see if it`s right for you.
