I have a built in diplomat ADP 8322 (inherited when we moved into the house) which has stopped working. I would like to replace it with a better make (not sure it’s worth repairing).

Two questions which I would be grateful if someone could help with…

what’s the best integrated one to buy- for under £500?

will any ‘integrated’ dishwasher fit the door that I have?

    Re: which integrated dishwasher….?

The ADP8322 is a Whirlpool in a dress. 😉 They are a reasonable machine and probably worth fixing. The worst component used to be the motor but the replacement unit transforms the dishwasher into, well, quite a good machine. There’s a lot worse out there……….
Neff / Bosch / Siemens are the better machines if you go for a new one. They carry a 2 year warranty as well.
Avoid the chinese made machines, (most identified by their ‘triangular’ sump filter). They are available under a myriad of well known brands and are really not good at all (understatement).
I would get the ADP looked at first; it may be a simple fault which could give you a few years more use for little money. Don’t scrap it out of hand….:D

    Hope that helps,

    Steve.

thank you Steve, I didn’t realise it was a whirlpool in disguise- learn something new every day!

I think I will try to get it fixed. Is there an easy way of finding a good repairer?

Repairs@…. There is a link in the navigation bar on the left and also at the foot of each post. Click it to find a UKW repairer in your area.
