connect up until recently have been using the white rold interlocks (dor 292 iirc) identical to the oem hotpoint ones. all of a sudden they are going back to the metalflex brown/black types that were used as the original part.

    just wondered two things:

a/ are metalflex ones actually now been found to be more reliable than the white rold and bitron ones?

b/ in which case are the new stocks of hp oem packs going back to metalflex ones too, or are they sticking with the rolds?

from what i can remember all the main modules with interlock tracks blown all were caused by machines with metalflex locks, is this also the general concensus amongst others too?

I agree. Metalflex locks responsible for many a blown board going right back to the WM series. Can’t recall a situation where I’ve seen a blown HP board being definitely attributable to a white lock.
