ParticipantHI all,
How has everyone been doing ? Long time since I have been here.. but guess what … I’m back.
Would like to know which machine has the best record for overall performance ?
Hoover Family 1300 Mega load Range 5
OR
Bosch WFB2005
I have been given both of these and I have not plumbed them in. I have been told they are both working fine.
Opinions please ?

I’m not sure what a “Hoover Family 1300 Mega load Range 5” is as we in the trade only recognise model numbers? But the Bosch WFB2005 is a bit of a spanish made contraption, they usually work OK but are fairly basic though. :rolls:
But hey! Two machines to use and choose can’t be all bad.
So try each one and see for yourself which you prefer? Then carefully store the other away because sure enough you may need it some day. 😉May 22, 2007 at 1:45 pm #214508Sarah

hi Martin,
sorry .. I will get the model number.. when I figure out where it is.
Actually I have 3, the Bosch that was having the sump pump problem is still running strong as long as I don’t do more then 3 washes a day.
So I was trying to decide which 2 to keep and will rehome the 3rd.
The 3rd is the Bosch WFF2001
So now I have THREE to get opinions on ;-/
I will be back with the model number of the hoover.
Thanks as always

Hi Sarah
IMO keep the The Bosch WFF2001 as the main machine, good quality 😉 , The WFB2005 I would keep as the back up. Then give the Hoover away to a good home.

Hi I do not reccomend bosch at all I had a relative that exact model and broke 4 times in 1 month and Customer service at the time was appolling.
I would reccomend The Hotpoint ultima WT960/5 or WD860’s as they are top notch.
But have a think about the Hoover Vision 8KG models they have a excellent reliability record.
Admin Edit, Link removed. If forums members really want to buy cheap Italian appliances that is up to them, no need for us to allow third party links to them though. 😉

You are joking?
The Hotpoint’s reliability record is absolutely diabolical!
Have you seen the build quality of the Hoover VHD? It’s not good…

You could also enter WD860 in the search facility for this forum before making such a rash statement regarding current Hotpoint/Indesit quality. 😥

hi Guys,
Thanks for trying to help me !!!
I think the ID name with hotpoint in it is a bit of a give away eh ?
I shall just ignore this poster who obviously has an agenda that is NOT my best interest.
Also, his NOT reading my post thoroughly was a put off to begin with.
OK I can not find the model number on the Hoover ( if it is a label across the top of the opening then it has been peeled of) but would we agree that the Bosch is a better make then the Hoover ?
Thanks again

Hotpoint Reliable? Not on your nelly, especially those Ultima things with their “Info Bubble”. I bought one when they first came out, & as I recall the damm thing ended up shredding my clothes like some madman with a stanley knife.
As for Hoover, well many, many, years ago (Dark Ages) I did own a Hoover Washer (Single Tub) with matching spin dryer that had a plastic pipe that swung over the sink & then my first Hoover automatic that had a rocker switch with A & B on it. (Those were the days……reminds me of my sister’s first washer that was a Liberator Tumblewash……)
Sadly new generation Hoover, don’t know if they are still made in Merthyr Tydfil? seem to be dreadful Candy Clones…….Ditch the Hoover, Stick with Bosch. My hubby’s powertools are all Bosch and they are fantastic.

HWF220,
Would you please STFU? You are talking to the professionals. We know the failure rates, the reliability records, the life time expectations of most appliances, repair costs, parts costs, the lot. You however, are trolling our forums, making an @rse of yourself.Nice to see that you read the earlier part of this thread, where a professional repairer said that the WFF2001 was an excellent machine. It is, we say so.
You have also ignored the OP’s request not to participate in the thread, so you’re a very naughty boy.
Regards,
