I personally like the electrue connections system of ordering
ive used it for approx 4 years mainly on genuine parts.
Pattern parts, Qualtex seems quite comprehensive (we also have local wholesaler upstairs from our shop!!) very handy.
But for the “odd uns”- Maddocks. We are using them more and more each week.
Regarding the comments about trade discount tell these so called “trade”
to spend a minimum £100 a month to class as trade, this soon puts them rightOctober 7, 2004 at 3:30 pm #108512Martin

Just waking up this thread a little…….Wash Vac (Parts Center) ❓ ❓ …….I don’t know of your experiences but with me in my neck of the woods, when I order stock from them on a ‘Next Day Delivery’ …it comes 3 days later! 🙁 🙁
Since they moved their parts warehouse from Sittingbourne to somewhere in darkest, rainy Yorkshire it’s all gone to cock 😡
One of their competitors (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) told me it’s because they share a warehouse with Plumb Center 😯 and Plumb Center customers don’t work at the same speed as we do in the whitegoods trade 😕 So they are used to shifting and packing the odd bathtub and ballcock to cowboy plumbers that only work when they are sober. 😆
Back in June they promised to try and sort out their delivery problems, and meanwhile an interim measure was to ask their customers to place orders before 1 pm to ‘guarantee’ a next day delivery 😯 So, I place an order at 11:58 am and it arrives at 3:30 more than 75hrs later. In fact I get the invoice for the goods I ordered from Sittingbourne faithfully the next day sure enough…perhaps that’s what they meant by ‘next day delivery’ 😮
That ‘competitor’ I mentioned however, has a much better system. Firstly, I place my order via the Internet, I know the items I have ordered are in fact in stock the moment I place the order. I hit the order button at 3:30 pm and I do get the goods delivered less that 24 hours later (22hrs actually) and they use exactly the same courier.
…explain that ‘Parts Center’ before I pull the plug on an account I have held with you for over 25 years 👿

Masterpart and Electrue seem pretty fast to us, always next day. But with the speed of delivery some parts disintegrate on re-entry 😉

How come a cooling fan is listed as a r/h and l/h element ❓ 😕

Left hand cross flow and right hand cross flow, depending on which end of the fan the motor is fitted 😉
Connect use the prefix ELE for lots of things that aren’t elements 😕
