Which? Are now launching their own scheme to compete against the likes of Checkatrade, Rated People etc etc etc. starting in the London and the Home Counties. They charge £40 ‘to be assessed’ by one of their reps that knocks on your shop door. Then you need to stump up £40 per month to be listed as a “Trusted Trader” in their “Little Red Book” directory they plan to post as junk mail through letterboxes in your area.

All exciting stuff (rip off springs to mind) but if you are interested then take a glance HERE

I’m assuming they are planning on stopping Which local then?
Shame if they are as I have got quite a few jobs from it.

It’s worth reading their code of conduct as it is potentially quite bureaucratic, for example requiring written quotations, 30 day payment terms (unless agreed in writing), etc.

Mind you, they don’t have a category for appliance repairs yet anyway. It seems to be limited to home improvements and motor repairs only.
