    Being in the microwave repair industry I have no idea about washer/driers and having been given the job to look for one I am at a loss. I do know that I have to get a white one with a min of 5kg wash and 5kg dry which I know some manufacturers do now. Could some kind sole tell me which ones to look at …………… or at least which ones NOT to look at. Many thanks in advance to those who reply.

    There will not be the same choices of these as there are washing machines.It does seem that the German machines do have an edge when it comes to production and build quality and life span.

    I can recommend the Bosch WVF2402GB 1200 spin or the WVT2850 1400 spin, Zanussi ZWD 1270W 1200 spin or ZWD 1470W. AEG L12820 which is also a 1200 spin.

    If you want the best then Miele WT945SWPS 1500 spin with a free 5 year guarantee parts and labour it will outlast any other domestic machine there is, but it is in exess of a £1000.
