Reported fault: Cutting out/not freezing?
The problem is it’s in a holiday home and I don’t hink I’m getting the full facts from the customer and neighbour.
Customer says that it cut out during the summer and defrosted. She turned it back on and now 5 months later it’s apparently doing it again??
Went to it today and and neighbour had put water in freezer for ice cubes last night and today they’re still water. Power to appliance, fridge light works – just not running.
This is electronic dual control so I don’t think the ambient temperature has anything to do with it but it’s freezing in the house. I apprciate it’s operating below it’s intended operating range. Wall/heating t/stat set at 0 degrees. (freezing in the house)
Light on, both stats turned up. Turned it off/back on and it fired up. Opening fridge door stopped the ciculation fan and light came on. Closed the door left it for 10 mins. Turned it off at the fridge stat. Back on, waited for compressor to come back on and this time the fridge door switch didn’t turn on/off when operated. Left it 15 mins and it’s definately getting down in temperature so I’m postive it’s not a system fault. All connections tight and secure.
I’m open to suggestions – as I said before, I dont’ think I’m getting the full story as I’m getting it 2nd/3rd hand sometimes.
