KeymasterThe dishwasher is showing fault code F8 and the start light is flashing. What is this fault and how do I clear it.
Thanks

F8 is a water level problem, you could check your own plumbing arrangements like the inlet hose and waste hose for kinks etc.
It could also be excess foam caused by incorrect detergents and/or rinse aid spillage. Anyone tipped rinse aid in by mistake or put washing up liquid in ?
Also check the filters, especially the micro filter.
Apart from that, it’s engineer time. Someone here should be able to help, if you let us know your postcode.
Dave.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I have cleaned the filters and drained the water and the F8 fault has cleared but the start light is flashing and the program selector switch doesn’t change the program.Any other ideas ?
My postcode is SA3

Participantchriss,
Press and hold the start buuton in, for up to 10 seconds. This should clear any existing programme and allow you to reprogramme the machine, then see what happens!Penguin45.

I have the same problem with the same machine – the filter is clean and it’s taking water away (having refilled the area where the water was). The start button flashes twice, repeatedly. I’ve tried to hold the start button on all cycles, and the dishwasher appears to drain and finish a cycle, but then just flashes again.

F2 indicates a water leakage into the base of the machine.

Thanks for the quick answer!

Cheers Dave – I called the shop where I brought it and it seems that this is covered under the extended warranty that I didn’t know I had. I don’t remember buying it, I can’t see it on the receipt, but I’m not going to argue with them. An engineer is coming tomorrow. I’ll keep you posted as to the solution. 😀

😆 😆 😆
Many thanks. I had F8 problem & have been surfing to find out what it was. I’d used wrong powder. Having cleared foam & all water I couldn’t clear F8 from programme. SOOOO many thanks as I’d sussed there would be a simple and FREE way of clearing it.
Sue
