Whirlpol ADG 6340 finally given up.

Today the dishwasher finally won’t work. Last few days it has been making a pulsing noise when filling and then yesterday a more grinding noise. My suspicion is that it is the inlet valve, as prior to today it was washing rinseing cleaning and getting hot, the sprayers were working. Now finally it has not emptied and when I go to switch it on it makes a small hum like it is trying to fill or empty. Any thoughts as I would like to spend the money to repair it ??

Hi there

I would say check the drain pump as this is the first step for any dishwasher. unplug the machine before checking.
the inlet vavle would not make a grinding noise
