    Hi all

Has anyone done a bearing change on one of these top loaders? I have the bearing kit and notice that it says that a “special centerpost bearing removal/installer and seal installing tools are required to perform this repair” – is this true or can I tap them in and out using a hammer and bar?

If I do need the tool(s) then what is the part number(s)?

    Thank you

    Jem

    Hi

Try this site for video on repairs to american Whirlpool top loaders.

there are service manuals as well , part numbers are not same as UK numbers but drawings do help.

I usually manage these without any special tools , but if you have a large pair of molegrips , it is even easier than with a lump hammer and drift 😀
