whirlpool 3RLEQ8033SW1 wont restart

this dryer is heating fine but when the direction of rotation changes it wont restart , also when the door is opened there is a loud buzzing and eventually after about 4 or 5 seconds it will kick into life , any info cheers

there is no capacitor , it has a heavy duty relay mounted on the motor , so i suspect it could be dodgy , its not available to buy seperately so i would say that sorts that

if memory serves me correctly, i think that relay is just a centrifugal switch, prone to fluff blockages etc… a strip down and squirt of wd40 may help ( when it stops to reverse, the run winding is still in circuit, as the switch hasnt dropped back to flick the start winding )

took it apart chezza , couldnt see much wrong i gave the points a quick clean all back together no change still loud buzzing from the motor , too expesive for a new motor customer going to purchase new machine
